Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 82 - second entry

Happy Wednesday!

The Lawn Fawnatics current challenge #82, color inspiration, is so pretty I just had to make another card! Only this time, I used a lot more color. I made a birthday card using A Little Sparkle, puffy cloud borders, scripty hugs, and some stamps from Long Distance.

I also used several Distress Inks - Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire, and Broken China. You can't tell from these photos, but the card has lots of sparkle!

And you can see I've used the Reverse Scalloped Rectangle Windows die. Love that set so much!!

Thank you so much for looking!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #82

Happy Friday, everyone!

It's time for another Lawn Fawnatics challenge, and it's this beautiful color scheme

Here is the card I made for the challenge: a birthday card using Seahorsin' Around, Butterfly Kisses, and even a stamp from S'more the Merrier! Can you guess which one?

I am not a huge purple person by nature, however, I do love purple when it involves flowers and sea creatures, so purple sea stars and urchin, here we come! Because my Lawn Fawn stash isn't complete yet (just a few more sets), I had to improvise some of the sea flora and fauna in my scene.

I made green sea anemone using some of the flowers from Butterly Kisses. The base of my anemone is the rock stamp from S'more the Merrier! And my purple sea urchins are also from Butterfly Kisses!

I love the Portholes frames. I didn't have a coordinating Lawn Fawn die to match the circle size, so I used my Reverse Scallop Circle window frames instead.
I added Glossy Accents to my bubbles, urchin, and anemone for a fun wet look. And lots of Stickles on my sea stars! If you've ever seen a tide pool, you know how they often pile all on top of one another.
My little seahorses are proudly displaying the sweet sentiment from Seahorsin' Around. They are ready for a party!
Thank you so much for looking and have a fabulous weekend, everyone!

Graphic 45 Traveler's Journal Challenge

Hello everyone!

Thought I would share a sweet and simple traveler's journal that I made for the current August Graphic 45 challenge, traveler's journals!

I have a lovely friend who is having a baby girl soon and felt like I needed one last special item to add to her stash. This challenge comes at a perfect time, as I've been feeling like some sort of journal would be perfect! A journal that could store hopes, dreams, prayers, words of encouragement ... all that good stuff.

I've been hoarding my Baby 2 Bride DCE for a few years now, but feel like it's the perfect collection to use for my dear friend. Amazingly, I only used one of each paper (except for one sheet, which I used just a 4 x 12 strip for) so I'll have plenty left for a couple other projects.

Because she's a busy mama with other kiddos in the house, I kept my design simple and - gasp - not popped up! I wanted this traveler's journal to stand the test of time, so I refrained from popping up those delicate Spellbinders dies layers.

I can't wait to see her use it over the years. And you bet I'll leave some little notes tucked inside for her to find!

Thank you so much for looking! For those of you participating in the challenge, remember, you need to submit your projects to the official Graphic 45 Official Community Page on Facebook. Have fun!
