Happy Monday!
I have a new project to share with you today. As part of Graphic 45's monthly class series, I designed this beginner mini album and card set using the Ladies' Diary Deluxe Collector's Edition.
That's all for today, ladies and gents! Thank you so much for looking. Have a great crafty week!
I have a new project to share with you today. As part of Graphic 45's monthly class series, I designed this beginner mini album and card set using the Ladies' Diary Deluxe Collector's Edition.
So this paper line is pretty special to me. I taught a class using this paper a few years ago at the Mad Scrapper in Issaquah, Washington. How I miss those days and the lovely women I met there! We had a lot of fun creating together on Thursday nights.

In case you missed Graphic 45's blog over the weekend, they shared the free project sheets for both of these creations. Here's the link to download the project sheets:
A little more info about the mini album for you. I made the mini album using a piece of chipboard since we try to keep supplies at a reasonable cost for you. What's wonderful about the deluxe collector's editions is that you get two each of 12 papers, a sticker sheet and a set of chipboard images. There were so many supplies left over, that not only was I able to make a card project, but you could easily make one or two more projects.
I added a few pages with flaps so that you could squeeze in some extra photos.
If you want, you can add one of the new metal door plates and knobs to the front cover. It kinda makes me feel like this is a top-secret journal. :)
And this brings us to the card project. I used scraps from the mini album project along with some of the papers from the set to make these cards. For ribbon, I used twine, but you're welcome to use ivory seam binding or something else!
These cards fold up like little purses and are held together by the twine. Just un-do the twine to write your loved one a note.
For the cards, you can add some of the little stamped metal brads for a fun touch. What I did was just bend off the legs behind the brads before I adhered them with a strong liquid adhesive.
