Tim Holtz: 12 Tags of Christmas - Tag #4

Good morning! Tim's icy 4th tag is absolutely beautiful -- and my favorite so far! I love the tulle, snowflakes, and blistery pale blues and white ...

For my take on Tim's tag, I wanted to create the same snowy effect, but didn't want my fourth tag to resemble my first tag too much. So I added some red and black tulle versus the white tulle ... and toned down my snowflakes.

Instead of a top hat, my snowman's sporting a silver crown. I did this by stamping Tim's Urban Grunge crown stamp onto some grungepaper, then embossing with silver powder.

My snow flurry was created using Ranger Sea Foam embossing powder ... and tiny pieces of styrofoam.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Snowflakes embossing folder from "Joy" embossing set
Broken China Distress Ink

  4. I just love the way he stamps so many things during his tag series using that music notes background stamp (or did you decide to do that? so sorry, I haven't seen his video yet). Yours came out really beautiful. Thanks so much for the eye candy!

  5. Thank you, Kathy! Actually, those music notes are from Authentique's paper line called "Wonder." I had some left over and thought it was very Tim-like, so I've used it on two of his "12 Tags" so far!!
