Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 82 - second entry

Happy Wednesday!

The Lawn Fawnatics current challenge #82, color inspiration, is so pretty I just had to make another card! Only this time, I used a lot more color. I made a birthday card using A Little Sparkle, puffy cloud borders, scripty hugs, and some stamps from Long Distance.

I also used several Distress Inks - Scattered Straw, Rusty Hinge, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire, and Broken China. You can't tell from these photos, but the card has lots of sparkle!

And you can see I've used the Reverse Scalloped Rectangle Windows die. Love that set so much!!

Thank you so much for looking!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #82

Happy Friday, everyone!

It's time for another Lawn Fawnatics challenge, and it's this beautiful color scheme

Here is the card I made for the challenge: a birthday card using Seahorsin' Around, Butterfly Kisses, and even a stamp from S'more the Merrier! Can you guess which one?

I am not a huge purple person by nature, however, I do love purple when it involves flowers and sea creatures, so purple sea stars and urchin, here we come! Because my Lawn Fawn stash isn't complete yet (just a few more sets), I had to improvise some of the sea flora and fauna in my scene.

I made green sea anemone using some of the flowers from Butterly Kisses. The base of my anemone is the rock stamp from S'more the Merrier! And my purple sea urchins are also from Butterfly Kisses!

I love the Portholes frames. I didn't have a coordinating Lawn Fawn die to match the circle size, so I used my Reverse Scallop Circle window frames instead.
I added Glossy Accents to my bubbles, urchin, and anemone for a fun wet look. And lots of Stickles on my sea stars! If you've ever seen a tide pool, you know how they often pile all on top of one another.
My little seahorses are proudly displaying the sweet sentiment from Seahorsin' Around. They are ready for a party!
Thank you so much for looking and have a fabulous weekend, everyone!

Graphic 45 Traveler's Journal Challenge

Hello everyone!

Thought I would share a sweet and simple traveler's journal that I made for the current August Graphic 45 challenge, traveler's journals!

I have a lovely friend who is having a baby girl soon and felt like I needed one last special item to add to her stash. This challenge comes at a perfect time, as I've been feeling like some sort of journal would be perfect! A journal that could store hopes, dreams, prayers, words of encouragement ... all that good stuff.

I've been hoarding my Baby 2 Bride DCE for a few years now, but feel like it's the perfect collection to use for my dear friend. Amazingly, I only used one of each paper (except for one sheet, which I used just a 4 x 12 strip for) so I'll have plenty left for a couple other projects.

Because she's a busy mama with other kiddos in the house, I kept my design simple and - gasp - not popped up! I wanted this traveler's journal to stand the test of time, so I refrained from popping up those delicate Spellbinders dies layers.

I can't wait to see her use it over the years. And you bet I'll leave some little notes tucked inside for her to find!

Thank you so much for looking! For those of you participating in the challenge, remember, you need to submit your projects to the official Graphic 45 Official Community Page on Facebook. Have fun!

Graphic 45 Farmhouse "Hello" Card

Hello everyone!

Yesterday, Graphic 45 wrapped up their design team introductions by featuring a card I made for the legendary Annette Green! If you follow me on Instagram (@paperiah) you may have already seen it, but in case you're not on IG, I thought I'd share some photos of my card!

I used bits and pieces from Farmhouse and Nature Sketchbook, along with Graphic 45's newest dies and stamps. You'll also see two different shades of rose bouquets. I really wanted to deck this card out for Annette because I know how much she adores bees!

Thanks so much for looking and have a fabulous weekend!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #80 - Fun With Food (again!)

Hello!

Sharing my second entry for the Fun With Food challenge, over at the Lawn Fawnatics blog. I recently got the Year Seven stamp and die set, which is so festive and fun - and, food-related! (Candy IS a food group, right?) I know a special little guy who is having a birthday soon and LOVES the color green, so here we are with this birthday shaker card:

To give the card a summer vibe, I framed it with some pink paper that Lawn Fawn included in my order. I thought it gave the card a watermelon-feel. Turns out the birthday boy loves watermelon! I used a few different papers to make my paper-pierced piƱata. (Say that three times fast!)

Inside the shaker are two kinds of green glitter and lots of little die-cut candies!

More paper piercing; this time with the cute confetti stamp that's included in the Year Seven set.

Oliver's Stitched ABC's is probably my favorite stand alone die set from Lawn Fawn!

Thank you so much for looking and have a great day!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #80 Fun With Food

**UPDATE: My card was one of the featured cards from challenge #80!! Thank you so much, Lawn Fawnatics!!!**

***

Hi there!

Sharing a birthday card I made for another sweet friend AND for the Lawn Fawnatics current challenge, Fun With Food!

I used quite a few cute stamp sets and fun Lawn Fawn products like Sweet Friends, Bun in the Oven, Year Five (presents), Year Nine (party hats and candle), Out of This World, Grassy Border, Cloud Stencil, Reverse Scalloped Rectangles, Oliver’s ABC’s, Fancy Wavy Banners, and Dandy Day paper, to name a few!

I originally cut out the ABC's with the light pink paper from Dandy Day, but it was a little too light. I remember loving the way Tammy used two sets of letters on her S'MORE treat bag, so I did the same here! (Big fan girl over here!)

And speaking of s'mores, how many of you are scooping up the adorable S'More the Merrier set?? I told myself I was going to be good, but I may have to pick myself up a set. It's our 11th anniversary this weekend, so treat yo'self, right? Ooh .. that just gave me an idea for another card!

Thanks so much for looking! And as always, thank you for your sweet words! I've been having trouble trying to reply to comments here on blogger. I hope to get that straightened out soon. Have a great week!

Lawn Fawn Challenge 79 - Interactive Cards (second entry!)

Hi again!

Sharing another card for Lawn Fawn's current challenge, interactive cards! This one is a shaker card that I made for a super, duper sweet friend. As in, the SWEETEST friend ever.

I used Lawn Fawn's Sweet Friends set, the reverse scallop rectangle windows, Oliver's ABC's, Dandy Day petite pack, and lots of glitter! My favorite part was using some of the strawberries and little hearts from Sweet Friends as shaker elements.

Glitter and sparkles galore! If you want to see this card in action, check out my Instagram @paperiah. Make sure to follow if you aren't already doing so - I often post things on there that I don't post here!

I am having so much fun making cards these days! But as life would have it, it's time to get back to adulting today. As in, clearing the greenhouse from blackberry bushes, organizing the "craft" room, and doing the little one's laundry while he's at the grandparents' house today. We'll see how much I get done! Especially considering I'll be in the craft room for half of the day, where my Lawn Fawn and Graphic 45 stashes live. Speaking of ... I have the gorgeous Fairie Wings collection and plan to make cards with that, too! Let's just say that my upcoming Club G45 kit will be featuring some projects with that pretty paper soon. ;)

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a safe and happy 4th to all of my U.S. friends and family!

Well Done Dad Father's Day Cards

Hi again!

Sharing more Father's Day cards I made with Lawn Fawn's Let's BBQ set. Man, these stamps are so darn cute!! They're the same card; just different Lawn Fawn papers for the reverse window rectangles from a very sweet friend. ;)

And you know I just had to sneak in some Graphic 45; the red tablecloth comes from the 12x12 Farmhouse Patterns & Solids pad. It's beautiful!!

Thank you again for looking and have a fabulous weekend!

Lawn Fawn Challenge 79 - Interactive Cards

Happy Friday, everyone!

Sharing a Father's Day shaker card I made for my hubby. I'm also entering it in the Lawn Fawn challenge blog's latest one, #79 - interactive cards! My sweet friend Lauren let me borrow her fun Let's BBQ set so that I could make some cards for my dad and father-in-law. She also introduced me to the fabulous speech bubbles and dandy day paper pad!

For this card, I also used the cloudy stencil and stitched hillside borders. I love that the speech bubbles give you two options; the speech bubble die cut and the leftover effect on your cardstock! For this particular card, I used the leftover cardstock to make a shaker. If I had more time, I would've added some mountains in the background, but I've been busy creating your August kit projects for Club G45! Can't wait to show you those in August.

Up next, I'll share an identical set of Father's Day cards I made for the dads. Thanks for stopping by!!

Club G45 Volume 6 Kit - Farmhouse!

Happy Monday, crafty friends!

It's a new month, which means another set of fun Club G45 Kit projects to share with you. For Volume 6, Ginger and I got to create with Graphic 45's charming Farmhouse collection! I made a 12x12 scrapbook layout and a 6x9 folio; Ginger made that gorgeous card trio! You can pick up both kits here as well as watch tutorials here

You'll get everything you need to put together the layout and folio, including those gorgeous photogenic black roses, Kraft chipboard sheets, 12x12 collection, and notebook set! Farmhouse has got to be one of my favorite Graphic 45 collections. I'm normally a pastel and flowers kinda gal, but this color way and abundance of farm animals captured my heart! I'm definitely needing to add Lawn Fawn's "Hay There" set to my collection soon so I can intermingle the two.

I designed the folio with planning summer memories and activities in mind. The left side has a unique angular design for pockets; it makes me think of a cozy quilt design. The center part of your folio is where you can tuck away your three notebooks and even pens! The right side has two accordion-style photo mats and a flap for even more photo storage.

And here's a close up of the Happiness is Homemade layout. You're totally welcome to make the layout all your own, and to change the mats and imagery around as you see fit! I love the chicken wire design in the background. It seems to be all the rage these days in home decor!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm currently working on August's G45 Kit projects and can't wait to reveal those when the time is right.

Oh and if you're wondering which card my friend got ... she got the GIRL card!! I was hoping for that and our whole group of friends is just tickled pink. Pun intended! I had so much making those cards and can't wait to enter the next challenge.

Take care all of you! And while you're at it, keep spreading the love and positivity through your smiles, words, and beautiful creations.
